FEA is the practical application of the finite element method (FEM), which is used by engineers and scientist to mathematically model and numerically solve very complex structural, fluid, and multiphysics problems. FEA software can be utilized in a wide range of industries, but is most commonly used in the aeronautical, biomechanical and automotive industries.This course equips you with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct FEA using SolidWorks.

About the Author

I am a mechanical engineer specialized in CAD/CAE/CAM applications. I am conversant with solid modelling, surface modelling and engineering analysis including FEA, CFD as well as design optimisation. I have high proficiency in CAD/CAE/CAM software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens UGS NX, CatiaV6, Solidworks, PTC Creo Parametric, ANSYS, Abaqus among others.
